Multicultural event - Saturday 30th August

There is going to be a multicultural event at Blyth Leisure Centre on Saturday 30th August, from 1pm - 4pm. Includes arts & crafts, reflexology, Bollywood dancing . Five - aside teams for the international cup are also asked to apply. Further details from Elaine Bauer 07824461199

Sponsored Walk - Sunday 31st August

Our annual sponsored walk takes place on the 31st August with sponsor forms coming out shortly. It will start from the Claremont Terrace Hall at 10am, competitors are asked to be there by 9.45am. Proceeds to the Church refurbishment

Church Building Work - 8th September start

After further negotiations the refurbishments of St. Wilfrid’s will now begin on 18th August and finish on 10th October. The work period has been restricted to 8 weeks, by pressure, and overtime working on the heating. Say your prayers all goes smoothly.

Blyth Valley Heritage Open Days 2008 - 12th to 14th September

St. Cuthbert’s Church and Cemetery will again be taking part in the Heritage Open Days and volunteers are needed to welcome visitors and secure the church on Friday 12th Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September between 10am and 4pm.

Turkey & Tinsel November 2008 - Ostend - Monday 10th November

This year’s Turkey & Tinsel takes us to Ostend for 5 days on al all inclusive basis, departing on Monday 10th November. Their will be tours to Bruges, Veurne Market and Ypres (War graves). The cost of this tour is £179. Single Supplement is £40 and insurance is £24, if required. Itinerary and booking forms are available at both Blyth and Cowpen churches.

A non refundable deposit of £30 + insurance (If required) is to be paid BEFORE 31st MAY. (Cheques made payable to “National Holidays”). Please note - Places on this tour are limited and any enquiries should be directed to:
